The top prize winner of NJ Lottery’s Million Dollar Replay Grand Prize Drawing was Daniel DeSanto of Middlesex County, winning $1,000,000, according to NJ Lottery.
In the drawing, which was held on Friday, March 14, at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City Hotel, Casino and Marina, in Atlantic City, more than $1,500,000 in prizes were awarded.
Fourteen other lottery players also received prizes ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 as part of the drawing.
“They called my name and I didn’t know what hit me. I just won a million dollars, and I can't believe it,” DeSanto said in a news release. “Maybe I can retire a little earlier.”
Other local prize winners in the drawing were Louie Cortazzo and William Hays, both of Union County, who each won $10,000. Other prizes were awarded Friday, March 14, along with one $5,000 prize, five $1,000 prizes, five Scratch-Off packs valued at $300 each and five gift baskets.
Throughout 2024, New Jersey Lottery players submitted their non-winning Scratch-Off tickets online for a second chance to win prizes. Each quarter, 100 names were selected and awarded a $250 prize, as well as entry into Friday, March 14’s Grand Prize Drawing.
Scott Present, lottery host, conducted the drawing for the quarterfinalists with the help of lottery staff. Master of Ceremonies Adam Helfgott of Xtreme Event Group brought the additional entertainment this year by interacting with the guests and prizewinners throughout the event. The drawing was conducted under the observation of Mercadien, P.C. Certified Public Accountants until the official results were achieved and the 15 finalists were selected.
