In Arlington County, three firefighters were transported to the hospital after a firefighter fell through the floor

WASHINGTON — This weekend's warm dry weather ignited fires across the DMV.

In Arlington County, three firefighters were transported to the hospital after a firefighter fell through the floor, while responding to a structure fire in the 4100 block of 36th St S.

The fire was contained and all three firefighters are expected to recover.

In Prince George’s County, fire crews spent all of Sunday putting out a brush fire near a wooded area along Research Road in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Hot spots spanned approximately 12 acres. The Prince George’s County Assistant Fire Chief told WUSA9 the fire was far enough away from homes and a nearby school.

"No homes or structures have been damaged. We are concerned with a number of structures on one side but the fire is not close to it . We positioned a number of resources between those structures and the fire,” Jonathan Bender, said.

Prince George’s County Fire crews contained the fire just after 9 p.m. There were no injuries or damage to property.

In Fairfax County, crews responded to a house fire along Hill Stream Ct in Springfield around 3:30 p.m.. Heavy fire and smoke could be seen coming from the home in a video tweeted by crews. No injuries were reported.
