LEXINGTON — Virginia State Police said a woman was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Rockbridge County, according to a press release.
The crash took place at 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of Pine Forest Road and U.S. 11, south of Lexington.
Police said a 2005 Toyota 4Runner failed to yield the right-of-way while turning onto U.S. 11 from a stop sign on Pine Forest Road. The Toyota was hit by a southbound 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup on U.S. 11.

The driver of the Toyota, Patricia A. Bane, 79, of Lexington, died at the scene. Police said she was wearing her seat belt.
The 40-year-old driver of the Dodge was not wearing his seat belt and was injured, police said. He was taken to a local hospital and treated.
No charges are pending.
Police said the crash remains under investigation.
