A utility project on the University of Missouri campus will impact a sidewalk and driving lane Thursday and Friday.
Work starts 8 a.m. Thursday outside the Sinquefield Music Center, 1101 University Ave., to repair a utility box beneath the roadway, Columbia Public Works said. MU is conducting the work, though.
The eastbound lane of University Avenue will be closed between Hitt and Matthews streets, and detour signs will be posted. The work also will impact a portion of the sidewalk on the south side of University Avenue in the same general area. Signs will guide pedestrians to safe crossings
Repairs and closures are expected to last through 3:30 p.m. Friday, weather permitting.
