An arson fire at a Bensalem warehouse that injured a firefighter has resulted in jail time for a Cherry Hill, N.J., man.

Ramiz Duka, 62, has been sentenced to six years in prison for arranging the arson fire that destroyed the warehouse at 1388 Bridgewater Road. He also was ordered to pay $6.1 million in restitution for damage caused by the December 10, 2022 fire, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Philadelphia.

He was convicted at trial in October 2024 of conspiring to commit malicious damage by means of fire of a building used in interstate commerce.

Jurors heard Duka paid two men $15,000 to torch the Bucks County warehouse.

One firefighter was badly injured when he fell from a ladder during the blaze, the federal prosecutor's office said.

An indictment alleged that Duka planned the fire over several weeks in November and December 2022. He allegedly gave the arsonist a key to the warehouse, then replaced it when the original did not work.

Duka told his co-conspirators that the fire was part of an insurance fraud, the indictment added.

U.S. District Judge Kelley Brisbon Hodge sentenced Duka on Monday in Philadelphia federal court.
