WASHINGTON — Police are searching for two teens accused of shooting a police car in DC. Very little details are known at this time, here's what we know.
According to police, at 8:09 p.m. Sunday gunshots struck an unmarked MPD cruiser. An officer was sitting inside of the car at the time of the shooting.
Officers were called to an alley in the rear of the 900 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. The officer inside of the unmarked cruiser was not injured.
Police say, they are looking for two teen boys who got away on rideshare bikes.
This is the second shooting within minutes in that same area. At 7:54 p.m. officers were called to the intersection of 6th Street and Mississippi Avenue, Southeast for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds.
One of the victims was taken to a local hospital conscious and breathing who had been shot in his lower body. The second victim was taken to a local hospital with a graze wound.
Police have not released a lookout or announced any arrests at this time. Officials say they do not believe the two shooting are connected.
