The upcoming Peacock crime thriller series “M.I.A.” has added three series regulars, Variety has learned.

Shannon Gisela (“Chasers”), Brittany Adebumola (“The Other Black Girl,” “4400”) and Dylan Jackson (“City on Fire,” “Godfather of Harlem”) are all set to star in the series, which was originally picked up back in August 2024 with a straight-to-series order.

Per the official logline, “Running drugs is a family affair for Etta Tiger Jonze (Gisela), but when the family business is threatened, Etta is thrust into a life she never expected, forcing her to use her wits to survive as she navigates Miami’s criminal underground.”

Adebumola will play Lovely, while Jackson will play Stanley.

Gisela is repped by BRS/Gage and Power Entertainment Group. Adebumola is repped by CESD Talent Agency, Authentic Talent and Literary Management and Schreck Rose.

“M.I.A.” hails from writer and executive producer Bill Dubuque, who previously co-created the Emmy-winning Netflix series “Ozark.” Karen Campbell will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Alethea Jones will direct and executive produce on the series. MRC is the studio. Stefano Sollima was previously attached to direct but had to exit the series due to a scheduling conflict, according to an individual with knowledge of the matter.

MRC is behind a number of shows on Peacock. In addition to “M.I.A.,” the independent studio also produces the critically-acclaimed series “Poker Face” starring Natasha Lyonne. Season 2 of that show is due out this spring, though an exact premiere date is pending. The Peacock comedy series “Ted,” based on the Seth MacFarlane films, is also an MRC production, with Season 2 of that show wrapping production in January.
