GOSHEN — The Indiana Department of Transportation will begin lane closures Monday on Ind. 15 (Main Street/Third Street) between Pike Street/U.S. 33 and Mill Street. Crews will start a bridge deck overlay on the Ind. 15 bridge over Norfolk Southern railroad and Rock Run Creek.
INDOT will complete the project in three phases, according to a statement from city officials. During each phase, crews will shift lane closures to accommodate the work. Two-way traffic will remain open, with one lane available in each direction throughout construction.
The closures will remain in place through mid-November.
INDOT will also shut off decorative street lighting along the bridge while work continues in the area. The shutoff ensures safety and access for construction crews.
The project aims to extend the life of the bridge, improve surface conditions, and support long-term traffic flow through Goshen’s north-south corridor.
City officials urge drivers to slow down in work zones, stay alert, and expect delays. Crews will post signs and electronic message boards ahead of the closures to help guide traffic.
