Man shot dead on Riddle Road in CUF; second shooting there in recent days

A man is dead after a shooting Saturday afternoon in the CUF neighborhood.

The shooting happened around 4:13 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Riddle Road, according to a Cincinnati police news release.

Cincinnati police officers responded to the area and found 42-year-old Kevin Garr with a gunshot wound.

Garr was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later died.

The investigation by the department's homicide unit is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 513-352-3542.

Just eight days earlier, another man died after a shooting Feb. 28 in the 600 block of Riddle Road.

In that shooting, Darren Williams, 53, was found shot in the parking lot of the Mont Michel apartment complex in the CUF neighborhood.

The CUF neighborhood is one of Cincinnati's 52 neighborhoods. It is an amalgamation of Clifton Heights, University Heights and Fairview and is south and west of the University of Cincinnati campus.
