At the weekend, the sad news broke that celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero had died “very suddenly and unexpectedly” at 34 years old, with his younger sister, Gris Guerrero, setting up a GoFundMe on Feb. 23 to raise money to help Jesus’s family “bring him home” to Houston, Texas. Jesus worked with many A-list celebrities, including Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez, who have now both taken to social media to pay tribute to him.

And on Tuesday night, Kylie paid heartfelt tribute to Jesus as she shared a selection of sweet photos of their time together with her 394 million followers. In addition to some professional moments, the pictures give fans a glimpse into their close personal friendship, with one photo showing Kylie and Jesus relaxing under blankets on a sofa together, and another with Jesus’s arm around Kylie as they enjoyed some drinks with friends. Kylie also included a video of her, some friends, and her daughter, Stormi, singing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus.

Kylie’s caption was just as poignant as the visual memories, with the star writing: “Jesus was more than my friend - he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support. I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter.”

On Tuesday, People reported that Kylie was “shocked and very upset” by Jesus's death, but going above and beyond to support his family — including financially. A source told the publication at the time: “As upset as she feels, she knows it’s so much worse for his family. She doesn’t want them to stress about money. She’s taking care of expenses, including those associated with his funeral.”

And Gris confirmed Kylie’s generous gesture as she closed the GoFundMe page on Tuesday night after it had raised $96,000. Writing an update to the fundraiser, Gris explained: “When this go fund me was set up we created it thinking we would have to take care of all the expenses ourselves. We didn't want to burden any clients with this. Our family deeply appreciates Kylie for later offering to cover funeral expenses and offering up all her help and support.”

Meanwhile, it is thought that one of Jesus’s last high-profile jobs was with J.Lo in Dubai just one week ago, and Jen also took to Instagram to pay her respects on Tuesday. Sharing a photo of Jesus to her page, she wrote: “It’s no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus. You were gentle and kind and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful, and your presence was felt the minute you walked into any room.”
