The iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17 will feature performances from Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Glorilla, Gracie Abrams, Kenny Chesney, Muni Long and Nelly, among others. LL Cool J will return as a host for the annual show airing live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
“Excited to be back on the iHeartRadio stage to host this year’s awards,” said LL Cool J in a statement. “It’s going to be a night to remember—big energy, iconic moments and special collaborations you won’t want to miss.”
The upcoming event is sure to be a starry night as Lady Gaga, who recently released her album “Mayhem,” is set to receive the innovator award, while Mariah Carey will receive the icon award. Taylor Swift’s blockbuster “Eras Tour,” which launched two years ago to the day of this year’s telecast, will be named iHeartRadio’s “Tour of the Century.” The show will include the premiere of an “exclusive performance from that opening night” in 2023.
Nelly will receive the iHeartRadio landmark award, which honors artists whose album releases “have inspired and shaped culture over multiple decades,” according to iHeartRadio. Nelly’s performance at the show will kick off his “Where The Party At” tour, a slate of 54 dates across New Zealand, Australia, Europe and North America.
The show will also drive donations to Fireaidla.org in support of Los Angeles communities impacted by the wildfires. Contributions will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation, for short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters. It will broadcast live on Fox, iHeartRadio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app.
