Bagley Senior Center raises $7,266 during Raise the Roof fundraiser

Apr. 5—BEMIDJI — The Bagley Senior Center recently raised $7,266 toward its $53,000 goal for a new roof during its Raise the Roof fundraiser on March 23.

Despite 4 to 6 inches of wet, heavy snow hitting the area the night before the event, almost 250 attendees came from as far as Fargo and all over northern Minnesota.

The fundraiser featured a meatball dinner, a silent auction with over 60 items and a concert by the "Figuring it Out" Abello Acoustics Band.

When the auction ended, all items were sold, bringing in $3,000.

With donations from community members and local sponsors, the amount of funds raised for the roof now totals $47,000. The center has $6,000 left of its fundraising goal.

From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, Bagley Subway will donate 15% of all sales to the Bagley Senior Center roof fundraiser. The Bagley Subway is located in the Cenex C-Store located just west of the traffic light in Bagley.
