Undefeated Clash: How to Watch Xander Zayas vs. Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis Live from Barclays Center
Brooklyn’s Barclays Center is set to host one of the most anticipated boxing spectacles of the year on Saturday, June 27, as undefeated champions collide in a high-stakes super welterweight showdown. Puerto Rico’s rising superstar Xander Zayas (23-0-0) will put his WBO and WBA super welterweight world titles on the line against Philadelphia’s formidable, highly touted boxer Jaron "Boots" Ennis (35-0-0). This compelling matchup brings together two of the sport's finest undefeated talents, promising an explosive night of world-class boxing in front of a passionate, sold-out East Coast crowd.
The bout represents a classic boxing narrative: the technically superb champion defending his throne against an elite challenger fighting to cement his legacy. Zayas, who has quickly become the flagbearer for Puerto Rican boxing, looks to utilize his sharp counterpunching and hometown-adjacent crowd support. "Fighting in New York is always like fighting at home," Zayas noted during a pre-fight press conference. "Defending my titles against a fighter of Ennis's caliber at the Barclays Center is the exact kind of legacy-defining moment I have prepared for my entire life." On the other side of the ring, the Philadelphia-born Ennis brings a menacing mix of speed and raw power to the division. Having dominated his previous weight class, Ennis's move to super welterweight instantly shakes up the division’s hierarchy.
